Damaraland
Namibia is where one can find the mystic and breath-taking Damaraland, a mountain range with deep red rocks and bright blue skies. At Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain, you can find thousands of ancient rock paintings. In Khorixas you can find the ‘Petrified Forest’ a place where tree trunks have changed into rocks.
The Skeleton Coast
Or like the bushmen used to call it “The land God made in anger’ is a stretch of land in the North, where many shipwrecks can still be seen. Because the Benguela Current in the Atlantic Oceans, clashes with the desert and dunes of the Northwestern coastline of Namibia, it is a rugged but fascinating area. In the Skeleton Coast National Park there is plenty of wildlife to observe.
Namib Desert & Sossusvlei,
With the red dunes, Sossusvlei is probably what Namibia is best known for. Located in the largest conservation area in Africa, the Namib-Naukluft National Park, it truly is a sight to be seen. The dunes in this area are some of the highest dunes in the world. The distinct red sand, against the bright blue horizon, makes it any photographer’s dream.
The Namib desert is the oldest desert in the world. There are wonderful species to be discovered and a unique array of biodiversity in the desert and one should really go and explore with a guide who is full of knowledge.
Etosha National Park
This park is one of Southern Africa’s most popular national parks. Etosha is beautiful, with a very dry climate. Big game will congregate around the waterholes, making this park a very rewarding one, in terms of big game viewing. Game to be seen are lion, elephant, leopard, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, springbok, two kinds of zebra, eland and much more.
Do I need a visa for the destination I am travelling to?
If your trip to Namibia doesn’t exceed 90 days, many nationalities will get a Tourist Visa upon arrival. Please contact us for further questions.
Do I require vaccinations for my holiday?
In summer, Malaria prophylaxis is advised, as some regions in Namibia are considered high risk. A vaccination against yellow fever is only required if you stayed in a yellow fever country in the 7 days before you visit . Please always consult with your doctor for medical advice, as other vaccines might be recommended.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, a travel insurance is obligatory. We strongly advise that you also take out a cancellation policy.
